When I first saw Desiree Dolron's studio work, it seemed she was a dark version of Joyce Tenneson. But actually she is much more varied and deeper. I love the waxen, painterly skin tones of her portraits. Her Gaze series is so haunting. Her other work can just blow you away. Some is pretty graphic, if you are squeemish, you've been warned.
